Capacity study

Enhance the financial performance of your existing
tissue making process

Metso will use its extensive and unique
machinery and process knowledge to
identify and quantify bottleneck areas to
recommend modifications of the tissue
making process to improve machine
efficiency and increase machine speed. The
capacity study will be the best base to
identify improvements to minimize the
capital investment required for achieving
the defined targets.

Increased production

Every production line has bottleneck areas that
limit the total performance. Each one of the
limitations adds up to give a larger total negative
effect both on the efficiency and speed of the
paper making process.

Metso offers a mechanical and process exami-
nation of defined sections or of the complete
paper making process in order to assess current
production capacity and to identify and quantify
bottleneck areas which limit the paper making
capacity.

Based on these findings, Metso will use its
extensive and unique machinery and process
knowledge to propose and suggest priorities for
recommended modifications of the tissue mak-
ing process to reach defined targets.
The examination of the machinery and process
evaluates possibilities to increase production to
levels even beyond the original design capacity.

Excellent economic return

The results from the study will be presented in
a written report together with a graphic pres-
entation for easy understanding and for internal
presentations.

The report will define existing capacity, identify
bottleneck areas and propose de-bottlenecking
solutions. The report will also include evaluation
of the expected economic effects of the pro-
posed solutions.

The capacity study will be the best base to
identify solutions to minimize capital investment
required to reach higher production and better
economic return.
