Ni-MH Battery Cathode Materials Research Situation
Abstract: NI-MH battery has a series of characteristics, such as: high energy density, long
cycle life, high multiplying power charge-discharge, strong resistance of overcharge and
discharge without heavy metal pollution, etc. NI-MH battery is compared to “Green battery of
21 century”. This paper summarizes the domestic and overseas research progress of secondary
battery, the latest research results about the preparation and performance of NI-MH battery
cathode material. The paper also introduces the mechanical alloying method, powder sintering
method and smelting process which was used for compounding hydrogen storage alloy’s
preparation method; introduces several kinds of Mg-based hydrogen storage alloys’
performance and the analysis of mechanical alloying method preparation.
