Abstract

Geotechnical engineering investigation, it’s a basis and very important activities

of modern arthitecture system, on the basis the requirements of construction projects,
ascertained,   analysis,   judge   geology,   environmental   characteristics,   geotechnical
engineering conditions of construction site, compile Investigation Report files, at the
same   time,  offer   a   proposal   measure   to   improve,control   or   take   advantage   of
interrelated   engineering   geological   conditions.   study   the   interaction   and   influence
between human engineering activities and geological environment.
     This article mainly introduces the investigation of geotechnical engineering task,
objective, classification and foundation soil of construction site,underground water
site condition theory and so on. Sketch out the geotechnical engineer technique such
as engineering geological mapping, prospect with sample, situ test. Combined the
project with "Maanshan building materials exhibition center" to analyse it purposes,
tasks   and   work   content   on   geotechnical   engineering   investigation,   the   basis   of
technical   standard,   investigation   method   and   equipment   selection,   discuss   the
topography,geologic structure,stratigraphic structure, rock-soil character groundwater
condition,   judge   the   stability   and   suitability   of   construction   site,   selection   and
processing the foundation design to the site of prospecting.
