•Ultraviolet lights are not absolute for bacteria kill. They should never be
designed as the primary control from preventing bacteria growth.
•UV can be beneficial in reducing the quantity of bacteria that is passed from
RO permeate to CDI feed or to reduce bacteria counts immediately after
dechlorination (before RO feed).
