•Output variation from a process is shown as Customer Satisfaction. In Six Sigma
terms, this output is termed ‘Y’.
•The output variation is caused by a variety of input variations shown above.
•If we ever hope to properly manage the output from a process, we need to fully
understand the input variation and how it affects the output. This is a basis for
Design of Experiments (DOE).
