Abstract

：

Circular section tower equipment common to the most, aspect ratio is large differences

compared to the general container；In order to enhanc the heat transfer and mass transfer efficiency,
tower equipment in the weight or pressure to do worse under the reverse flow；Universal material of
tower  access  for  the  carbon  steel  materials  or  low-alloy  steel.  Contemporary,  because  of  corrosion
media, consider sets of materials for corrosion resistance. In the chemical and petrochemical production
facilities,because  of  the  large  size,  and  numerous  components,  tower  equipment  investment  costs
accounted  for  25.39%  of  total  investment  process  equipment  cost,  and  accounted  for  34.85%  in  oil
refining and chemical production facilities in coal。Therefore, researching and designing of tower plays
an important role in refinery and chemical industry development. In this paper, Mechanical design of
CO engineering methanol project flash tower，it has been entrusted to the information technology to
the  conditions  laid  down,  the  tower  belonging  to  the  pressure-type  fuel  oil  fractionating  tower,  tower
body is divided into three parts, and have three work environment, and the design pressure is 3.8MPa,
0.4MPa,  1.1MPa  ； design  temperature  is  -70

℃ ， that belongs to low-temperature pressure vessel

design areas. Since under the conditions of low temperature materials design will be a series of changes,
such  as  low-temperature  brittle  fracture.  The  methanol  project  design  flash  tower  mechanical  design
CO2, according to the information technology commission therefore be given the design requirements
of low temperature, taking into account the effects of hypothermia, especially in the choice of materials,
pressure vessels at room temperature than demanding. Therefore, there has a detailed description and
calculations。 In this paper，it contain some contents as follows： the structure of tower equipment
design,  equipment,  material  selection,  tower  of  strength  and  stability  of  equipment
calculation，equipment selection of parts and components design。
       This  design  is  a  brief  introduction  of  the  tower  equipment  development  and  in  the  modern
petrochemical industry in the role and status, and of the methanol production process so the narrative
process。 Combined with methanol methanol production process works to understand the technology of
CO2 require in flash tower. Thus the structure of tower equipment design, material selection, strength
and stability of equipment calculation, equipment selection of parts and components design.
